Again, all I'm saying is better be upfront about the pretext of the offer more than anything. I never said anything about the date definitely leading to anything else more serious. It's just that if someone offers to meet me and says "it'll be like a date", the onus is on me as a committed individual to make sure that I don't simply go with the flow and mislead someone into believing that it might be an initial acceptance of sorts towards a potential relationship.
I never said don't go... I just said make sure you clear the air of any assumptions that either of you may be making.
