Classic or not.

The best way to know about the cultural and linguistic development of any nation is to study the literary works produced by their classic writers. Says Black Mamba

But an ignorant soul as Black Mamba is, he does not know what makes a literary work as Classic? Would only the era that any writer or poet lived in make him marked as a Classic? Can there be a classic writer in current age?

Can anyone explain plz?

Well U can say that coz U know abt the Litrature... :)

U know.. as per some Exapmles and U know it better than me.. that lots of stuff was not Classic while the writers were alive... It was Classic after they died and ppl after them said that WAH DER ZABRDAST SHAY YE LIKALAY DE... and sometimes... If existing Big Name Praise Ur Work it can be a Classic in current age...

If a Moron like me Paint an Abstract and copy the Pablo Signatures on it... and.. Expose it to some Dust and Smoke .... and Print it in the Press and distribute it.... Belive me... It will be considered a Classic by very good artists as well... ;)

classic books contains memorable characters, themes etc.

A classic book is one that becomes popular with its audience and basically gains a lot of aknowledgment.

A books is usually classic- when it has remained popular over time- so a book just written would have to reach some fame- and stay in power (so to speak) before it can be called a classic.
