great choice, although INXS were aussies.
I am a big 80's fan, the whole new romantics and modern rock stuff going on.
one of the bands i did not see mentioned with alphaville. not too many songs but with hits like forever young, and big in japan they need to be mentioned.
crowded house is another band which had some great stuff. also level 42, ub40, heaven 17, style council, bananarama,..
but hey, we got depeche mode, durna duran (and arcadia, powerstation), wham, spandau ballet covered, thats a great start
