It takes two to fight. So, what excuses the other side? Or are we to believe that Muslims never ever have legitimate grievances, and that the rest of the world only reacts to them, rather than acts?
Yeah...right....
But what other groups fight as a religion? Yes, there can be legitmate grievances against states or governments, but it's not a religoin vs. religion thing. It's Muslims vs. "some other entity".
