“Yes, I understand and I believe this is the Sunnah of the Prophet (saw) and he ordered us to do it, which is what we muslims should do, But I Think…, But I feel…”
or
“Yes, I understand and I believe this is what the Prophet (saw) didn’t allow and we muslims shouldn’t do it, But I Think…, But I feel…”
^ I have come across it many times. May Allah forgive me if I have made such big mistakes in life.
I have heard such statements mostly for topics like music, Hijab, Beard…etc.

^ i have heard somewhere a quote of a sufi...i forget his name...he said
"Nafs bari ajeeb shai hai...jub burai par uttar aai (nafsa ammara) ...to insaan ko waan pohancha daita hai jahan par haiwaniat bhi sharmati hai...aur agar qaboo mai a gai (nafse mutmainna)to baaz auqat lamho mai insaan ko zameen sai uttha kar 7 asmaa sai bhi ooper pohancha daita hai(as some sufia do in zikar with allah hu ...zarb etc)
Allah admonishes that owning up to one's mistake, toba and pure form of kneeling and weeping in prayer is listened to by Allah, very closely.
there is a difference in feeling and in behavior.
some behaviors might instinctively feel repelling.
it also depends on the thinking and intelligence of the human being and her/ his personal charater.
and for that Allah has made room.
look for any example between two people, Allah has pre ordained change if that is warranted and if someone is wronged or is uncomfortable.
