The editorial is bending what the ex-CJP said to suit its needs. Justice Saeed UZ Zamman Siddiqi was special guest on Dawn News the day the verdict was announced and he said repeatedly that he does not agree for one second that the pressure exerted by the bar had a negative impact on the thinking of the judiciary. On the contrary, he said that an active bar ensured that the pressure from the establishment was diluted. So what the editorial states is true in principle but that was not the case this time, in words of Justice Zaman.

You need to find some other judge to bring back happy thoughts.
