We have discussed this many times.
It wasn't about CJ Iftikhar. It was about reverting unconstitutional orders of a military dictator. It would be a deterrent for generals in the future thinking about raping Pakistan again.
Try harder please.... Having CJ at the helm itself is proving to be awesome. Not only did the entire nation stand besides him and the govt crippled with fear; pml[n]s power as exhibited, but zardari's role has been so peculiar after that, that he hardly says anything in public now.

Supreme Court Chief Justice (SCCJ), Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry in a remark said that the apex court has all the authority to revise the article 270 AA in the 17th Amendment of the constitution. While hearing a case relating to the allotment of a plot, CJ in his remarks said that SC has the authority to review any of the malafide actions. He said that every malafide act could be reviewed, no matter if it had been given protection in the article 270 AA of the 17th Amendment of the constitution.
