Civilians vs. Military

A lot of yo-yos here constantly complain of the military budget of Pakistan, and also about the facilities they get during and after service. Noone will ever complain about what the civilians do, or have done, of course, because in most cases, they worship those civilians.
Ashraf selects squads for his lifetime security - thenews.com.pk

Raja Ashraf thinks he deserves a 75 man security force, as does Gillani for 2 and 3 years of premiership each.
Fehmida Mirza thinks she deserves lifetime benefits in return for 5 years of speakership.
Gutless and shameless. Imagine what Zardari will get after his glorious 5 years as president.
2.4 billion a year will be wasted on these people. I hope the SC, or the next govt reverses this.

Re: Civilians vs. Military

No one wonder these guys lie, cheat, loot, decieve so much for lifetime benefits. Such benefits should be cut short. How about suggesting hanging by pole if you fail to deliver your promises for all these leaders.

Re: Civilians vs. Military

Civilian ruling elite --> corruption
Military top brass --> "legalized" corruption

Re: Civilians vs. Military

We need a democratic dictator, a la Ata Turk. The army and the current political "leadership" need to be prosecuted and gulag-ed to set an example and change the culture. As long as nepotism is alive and well, and the children and relatives of the existing scum are the future leadership, nothing will change.

That the military has any sway in politics speaks to the corruption and frankly, treason, committed by former generals in conspiring with the US. Systematically eliminating peaceful religious leaders and taking bribes to commit acts that have undermined the political stability of the country, in addition to being as corrupt as civilian leaders, makes them worse IMO.

Re: Civilians vs. Military

bannay do shaheed, atleast it will clear out any short-cut dacoos from the race of PM/presidency.

Re: Civilians vs. Military

This is a God forsaken land it seems. You get civilian leaders who are corrupt and think looting is their birth right. Moreover can you name a politician who has no ties with the external powers a.k.a. US,UK,KSA,Iran and now even Turkey wants to add itself here.
Same is the situation with the generals. They server their masters in pentagon etc. I don't know which is the lesser of the two evils.

At least I don't see any difference between the two.
