Civil Aviation Authority Who will ask them?

Perhaps this organisation has never discussed anywhere which is responcible for great losses to Pakistani travel industry.
All corruption, mismanagement and dishonesty is covered by a shield of defence ministary. Airports of Pakistan look like ruins and homes of mangers of this orgaisation beats Euoropeans homes. From last 20 years almost 10 Pakistani airlines closed due to very high charges of CAA. PIA too suffering from the same reason. Foreign Air Lines also avoiding Pakistan due to heavy charges of CAA and high prices of fuel. Security is a secondary reason.

Re: Civil Aviation Authority Who will ask them?

I started it long ago ,
No one liked to discuss .
But after this

An investigation is under way after a passenger plane crashed shortly before landing in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, killing all 121 passengers and six crew.

Re: Civil Aviation Authority Who will ask them?

CAA needs to be brought to task if we want to avoid these kind of incidents in the future, having said that I dont see anything positive from the investigations taking place now. After a few months we will forget it and the blame will be fixed on the weather, cloud burst, and pilot etc and the CAA will be spared.

Re: Civil Aviation Authority Who will ask them?

I remember , One chief of CAA came under investigation in 70s , He spent 1.8 Million on his bath room .
Those day this amount was sufficient to buy a house in PECHS Karachi , The most posh area of Karachi those days . This organization is responsible for destruction of air business of Pakistan ,having millions of passengers .

Re: Civil Aviation Authority Who will ask them?

Investigations have become a joke in this country. Be it Abbottabad, PNS Mehran, Air Blue and now Bhoja. Once a committee is constituted to probe an investigation, rest assured that the matter is all but dead.

Re: Civil Aviation Authority Who will ask them?

Committees made for Air Blue and Bhoja are from CAA itself .

Re: Civil Aviation Authority Who will ask them?

CAA should be investigated thoroughly, and all aspects inspected from procedure to corruption. Corruption is probably more likely to be found, and cause of failure to follow standard procedure.

Investigative authority should be independent of all agencies CAA, FIA, etc. So that it can carry out its task without any hinderance.

Re: Civil Aviation Authority Who will ask them?

they need to provide us with all the answers, who is the real culprit, definetly not just one person is responsible for this!!! who gave clearance to sucha old plane? and if the weather was really awful, why did the control tower gave green signal to the pilot for landing?

they are playing with precious lives ... heartless people!

Re: Civil Aviation Authority Who will ask them?

Yes I want to know when other flights were diverted y not this one, they isn't gave any valid reason for air blue crash also. They need to tell everything.but they will not as they already said black box is sent but it will take 3 months to 1 year for the investigation, meaning plz forget it.

The thing I learned is avoid Pakistani airlines if u love your life.

Re: Civil Aviation Authority Who will ask them?

That's not necessarily true. Such a blanket statement is a disservice to all the people that work behind the scenes to ensure your safety on the ground and in the skies. PIA for its' history since formation has had a very good flight record. Barring the tragic Air Blue incident, people say a lot of positive things about AirBlue as well including how it conducts itself.

We do however hope that they go through every shred of evidence with a fine comb to get to the root cause of everything that led up to the moment of the crash, and all accountable personnel are held accountable.

Re: Civil Aviation Authority Who will ask them?

besides i think no one would have expected that we'd be discussing the same thing a few years down the road.

Re: Civil Aviation Authority Who will ask them?

I remember an accident of 80s.
It was an Eid day
It was the Karachi Airport .
The biggest and busiest airport of Pakistan .
But fortunately there were very few passengers and staff at airport .
Suddenly the roof of of Terminal 2 of Karachi airport collapsed , Totally damaged but only few were slightly injured because the pillars helped to the roof to not to fall fully .
Nothing happened later .
Remember it was not ancient , built two three years before only .
Even it could not become big news due to holiday of newspapers next day .

Re: Civil Aviation Authority Who will ask them?

who should ask them?

The ruling government?

Re: Civil Aviation Authority Who will ask them?

Awe ka awa hi Khrab hai. Nothing could be change if we don't have really a ruler on our head who have fear of Allah and pain of nation's problems. And we dont have it (; ̄ェ ̄)

Re: Civil Aviation Authority Who will ask them?

Now they (CAA) it can take a year to investigate this crash... shabash, in years time, CAA will manage to crash another plane... while President is busy with his money minting projects, PM is busy in becoming Mazloom of 22nd and 23rd century, Interior Minister is busy seducing Katrina Kaif and MoD, he haven't heard from Mr. Mukhtar since the crash... he might be to busy enjoying the money he received for issuing the license to the faulty plane...

Re: Civil Aviation Authority Who will ask them?

After this crash , many questions about ATR
ATR is good plane for normal areas with best engines , Our northern areas are always difficult for air traffic , need some powerful planes .
maintenance is biggest issue and Civil aviation is responsible to check the standard but they don’t care .
Three big crashes near Islamabad last few years
Air blue , Bhoja and now this one .
Nobody asks civil aviation authority .

Re: Civil Aviation Authority Who will ask them?

If auto radar defense missile system on.. and aircraft changes little bit route… missile can hit aircraft…

I have doubt on aircraft safety checks.

Aik engine par jahaz survive kar laita hia…kuch to garbar hia… :hmm:

we demand #NTS](http://gupshup.org/gs/usertag.php?do=list&action=hash&hash=NTS) investigation…

Re: Civil Aviation Authority Who will ask them?

All PIA planes should be grounded for thorough safety checks. Should not be allowed to fly till safety is ensured.

Re: Civil Aviation Authority Who will ask them?

Do you remember an air crash near Multan , the Fokker F27 crashed few years ago .
The main reason was overloading of unlisted mangoes , everything was hided but Fokkers were grounded .
