I knew one of the congregants that died. People in NZ are friendly and sincere but tragedies like this happen everywhere. We can blame it on guns, Trump or right wing white supremacy but in the end we must ALL be in solidarity. We tend to remember these acts and a while later we forget them and move on with our lives-it is part of the human condition. I just hope that we can all be peaceful, nice and tolerant of each other. Blame the sin not the sinner; Allah will justly and rightly punish him. We must work together actively to reach out to those who are afraid of us. Words don’t do any justice, actions do and this should have started right after 9/11. I am not in any way putting the blame or onus on Muslims, rather we should all unite in a common bond and it starts at the community level. I have worked in the government sector; all they care about is $$.
