Its a very old movie .. 1940s if i am not wrong ? ..

.. and its not no1 Hollywood movie of all time !

Watch Casablanca, God Father 1 & 2, The Shawshank Redemption, Schindler's List & Pulp Fiction ... these are the classics !

great movie, was ranked #1 by american film institute.

some may find even harold and kumar better, but to each their own.

also u have to differentiate between what you as a viewer see versus what all was pioneered there. From a viewers perspective somethign that was groundbreakiung back then and is now a normal thing, simply does not matter anymore. But when you look at it in terms of cinematic history it has definitely left its mark

I have watched this movie....

The movie is pretty good but the reason its ranked #1 because its the first to break all the ground rules of movies back then...

telling things out of chronological order
using different images and information to paint a picture of a man

so thats why its ranked as the greatest movie of all time...

Since 1975, the greatest movie is Raging Bull....the great Robert DeNiro boxing epic

merc thats a couple of reasosn why its iconic, there are more such firsts there, but i am glad to see someone knew :)
