why do bengalis/south indians and some arabs have their khatna/sunnatein done during their teen years? why not when they r born? must be sooooo painfull and embarassing… poor guys… all these guys i know are having it done now and i’m like thank God i’m not one of them…

well arabs follow sunna and do it at an age close to birth I beleive. In Africe however, among the native peoples such as zulus etc.. it is a rite of passage into the manhood, and it is carried out in teen years WITHOUT any anethesia! ouch

I tyhink earlier the better both for not needing anaesthesia or very little of it & the benefit over longest period of life ,that is if you really believe it is good & not only ritual .
