  • I may not have been swept off my feet by the first trailer for Splice, but this new poster for the creature feature is certainly romancing me.

  • Every actress in Hollywood is vying for the role of Lisbeth Salander in David Fincher’s Americanized adaptation of the Swedish hit novel/film The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, while Deadline reports that the lead male role is Brad Pitt’s to either take or giveaway.

  • Paramount has yet to name a director for Mission: Impossible 4, but that’s not stopping them from carving out December 16th, 2011 as the release date.

  • Michael Imperioli has joined the cast of Foreclosure, which is presumably a horror movie considering The Hollywood Reporter says the tagline is “ghosts don’t move out”.

  • Project Runway’s Tim Gunn will have one of the live-action roles in the upcoming Smurfs movie. Other humans will be played by Neil Patrick Harris, Hank Azaria and Sofia Vergara.

  • The Wilhelm Scream announces its retirement, blames Spielberg for keeping his career going on longer than it should have.
