Re: CII rules that Pakistanis should be allowed to get married to children
ali..what are you saying? please just say it....just say it. dont quote history, religion, past generation...just say where do you stand on this issue.
here is where i stand...regardless of what islam says, i simply and absolutely don't believe in any girl to marry before she is mentally capable to make a decision on her own.
why cant we stand up for what we believe in.....for god sake!
I think my post was pretty clear. Underage marriage was very common a few centuries ago, now things have changed. I am not in favour of underage marriage.

maybe you were....but you seemed a bit soft.....what is underage in your opinion?
plus you said "In our generation the things have changed, now 6 years seems to be a very immature age".....6 years seems to be very immature age? did you mean 16? because 6 years is not just "seems to be be an immature age" ..it is more than "seem to be"....it is for sure brutal and cruel to marry a 6 yr old baby girl.....i think ali you meant 16

Re: CII rules that Pakistanis should be allowed to get married to children
Islam does not forbid marriage of young children, the council said. However, the Rukhsati (consummation of marriage) is only allowed in the case that both husband and wife have reached puberty.
.
And when was this not happening or illegal in Pakistan? Bachpan ke Nikah, and Rukhsati after adulthood are very common in Pakistan. Why is this an issue, I dont understand.

i used the example of 6 years as the mullahs and anti Islam people use that age and prophets marriage to create a correlation. Anyways one or two generations ago the women used to get married below 16 years, even that is a tender age today. While girls are able to take any decision they want after 16 years in non Muslim countries, in Pakistan girls are getting married in 20's (mid and late).
Re: CII rules that Pakistanis should be allowed to get married to children
They put all kind of taboos on people so that even THINKING about a woman is considered a dreadful sin. But their closed minds can not realize that such taboos will open up the chances of homosexuality in society.
This reminds me of a very appropriate joke about Taliban-controlled FATA.
Re: CII rules that Pakistanis should be allowed to get married to children
(To the first mod who read this joke: please remove it if you deem it inappropriate.)
A person from a village in N. Waziristan goes to Europe for education. He gets a PhD degree there and returns home for vacations. At his home-village he is greeted warmly. Everyone does their best to entertain their hero.
Finally the guy goes to guest-house for sleep. But somebody knocks on the door. He opens the door. Sees a boy who says that he is sent here to make him "happy". The guy returns him and says he is not like that.
Then there is another knock. Again opens the door. Now he sees even younger boy who offers his "services". The guy returns him as well.
Then the main person of the village, Mullah Fazlullah or something, shows up. He tells him that he wants to entertain him as much as possible then why he has been returning all the nice boys?! The guy tells him that he is not like that. Mullah Fazlullah insists. Finally the hero gives in, and tells him that if he REALLY wants to make him happy then having a nice girl would be great!
The Mullah suddenly jumps up and shouts: "KHINZEER KA BACHHA, TUM ZINA KARAY GA?!"
Re: CII rules that Pakistanis should be allowed to get married to children

If you knew FATA a little , everywhere in FATA , Charas is openly sold at very small shops , even no shop , A thara type place , Opium and hereon on shops and in this decade ,wines also sold every where , ban in KPK and open in FATA ,
Yeh sab Har..... isi income main partner hain
Aur kon kon ?
Allah maaf karay , pehlay hi sab mujh say tang hain
Re: CII rules that Pakistanis should be allowed to get married to children
The way things are going in this country, I think, the time will eventually come when people will actually consciously start hating religion and turn away from it. These sorry figures are working against Islam and this society is inching towards being a godless one. I hope people would be able to differ between genuine religious principles and the concepts being projected in the name of the religion.
Re: CII rules that Pakistanis should be allowed to get married to children
they must have some grand daughters or other baby girls in their family
I would like to see them accept a marriage proposal from someone their age, for one of their own 6 and 7 year old grand daughters.
or does it only apply to the "other ummah" and not their own houses?

Why do we see homosexuality in western societies where girls and boys as young as 13-14 indulge in sex?
Re: CII rules that Pakistanis should be allowed to get married to children
Oops. Never thought of that. Didn't know there were LGBT people in Western, and Eastern societies. :)
Keeping women enslaved at home is not Islam. It is barbaric.
It is better to clean up your own mess than to accuse others.
