CIA overthrowing governments

The CIA has been previously involved in overthrowing as many as 14 foreign governments including Hawaii, Cuba, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Vietnam, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras, Panama, Chile, Iran, Grenada, Afghanistan, and Iraq.

Is it possible that it has some involvement in the current unrest in the middle east too? If so, what exactly are they trying to achieve for themselves?

Now I know how josheelay WA people can be so here’s a disclaimer: This isn’t a conspiracy theory that CIA caused or started the unrest in the middle east, I am genuinely wondering whether they could have a role to play in all of this?

Re: CIA overthrowing governments

I doubt it.

Re: CIA overthrowing governments

Why do you think so?

Re: CIA overthrowing governments

Because theres no endgame for them. The countries in question are their proxies.

Re: CIA overthrowing governments

hmmm I see. Makes sense.

Re: CIA overthrowing governments

possible.....they wan to change the 'faces' may be......like to release the pressure thats been building up for years....so that the people of those countries are under an impression that things have changed.....like what happened in pakistan........replace musharraf with zardari.....botomline remains same....the faces change...

puraani topi nawaan baandar :D

Re: CIA overthrowing governments

Iran is the target for whole game.

Re: CIA overthrowing governments

good riddance to them.

Re: CIA overthrowing governments

Well said... :)

Re: CIA overthrowing governments

Highly unlikey. Hosni Mubarrak esp was a true American puppy. And so are the rulers of Bahrain.

Although if they help the rebels overthrow Qaddafi, maybe they can get some new oil deals.

Re: CIA overthrowing governments

This is definitely a possibility but we cannot be sure until we see the result.

They have been trying hard to move the Iranian regime for the last few years. last year, a small protest movement was portrayed as an "uprising" by the West. We can clearly see how much they are frustrated with Iran. So Iran could be the point.

We must also not forget the recent series of revolutions in Central Asia where the winning candidates were openly backed by the west. That has some resemblance with the current situation in Middle East.
