Churidars

I absolutely love churidars…can people please post any pics they have off churidars or do they know of any good places where i can get churidars on the internet?

I have got quiet a few different churidar suits…however i would like to see more designs/colour combinations

Re: Churidars

Churidars are defo nice. Elegant looking too.

They are coupled with short kameez which is todays fashion, am I right?

Re: Churidars

curidars normally have knee lenght kameez. anything shorter just looks too weird.

Re: Churidars

True.

Re: Churidars

I know you cant see the trousers/pants iwth this, but i think it would make a nice churidaar

Although the kameez is not quite traditional or conventional, i’d say this is churidaar as well..

This was posted in another thread here. Although I woudln’t wear it personally, i love teh design and style of it, only thing I’d alter on it is make it a tad longer (but not as long as tarditional churidaar kurtas) and add sleeves.

Re: Churidars

I have a chata patti ka chooridar and i think it just looks awesome. For those unaware, chatta patti is a technique where you take different bits and pieces of various colored fabric(s) and sow them together and then use it. A few years back chata patti ka sharara was in. Last year i got a chooridar like that.

Re: Churidars

Oh My God i luuuuuv choori daar pajama.......

Re: Churidars

Here is something i wore on a mehndi while i was in pak.. I really like it. :)

Re: Churidars

OoOOo roshi that's pretty :) That shirt is normally shorter than normal churidaar kurtas right?

Re: Churidars

^ yes they are suppose to be shorter than a regular kameez... but not as short as mine.. the durzi messed up... but i still liked it.. :D

Re: Churidars

What fabric is it? It looks like its printed, is there any kaam on it?

Re: Churidars

sara i'm not sure about the fabric... I felt horrible each time i would go shopping with my mil and she would ask me what i like and etc... and i didn't have a clue about any of the fabrics or what would look good on what.. :(

but yes you are right its printed, no kaam. i think those type of dupattas are in fashion in pak these days.. that was the whole reason i got it.

Re: Churidars

None of the pics posted except one is a proper churridar.
Except the pic below which comes close to a proper one.

A proper chooridar is very tight and fitting and the chooris go up to the knees not just have a bit of chooris at the bottom which are loose.

proper chooridar also has tight chooris and takes ages to put on and most of the time the tailors add little zips right at the bottom so the chooridar is easier to put on and take off.

I like chooridars in banarsi cause thats the only fabric that holds the chooris properly.

Chatta Patti isnt chooridar, its called Chatta Patti ka Pajama not Chatta Patti Chooridar.

All the pics posted in this thread are pajamas not chooridars.

Re: Churidars

Yah, many are "tang pajamas" but I like them too :D
