Like ammi bhai did this and bhia did that.
Gheebut is backbiting. (It is an arabic word and has been adopted in Urdu as it is. There is no Urdu substitute for Gheebut). Gheebat is talking bad about someone while that person is not present.
Like.
Kamran to bhohat hee kanjoos hay.
Asma bohat nak charhi hay.
Gheetbat is a big topic in Islamic Sharia.
Some kind of Gheebat is allowed some Gheebat is not.
Gheebat is when you are telling others the bad habits of someone while that person who you are talking about will not like to listen themselves on their face. Although they have those bad habits or bad traits.
But if they do not have those bad habits or bad traits and you mentioned it to others behind that person's back it is called 'Bohtan'. Wrong Allegations can be English substitute of it.
