I cannot let it go because if I dont have something to eat all the time, I feel weak. I dont eat full meals, I eat small things all day long. Fasting is really really hard for me but I try.
The thing is, I finally got a job and its a desk job. When I walked in, I saw SO many seriously obese people; it scared me. I know its because of lack of activity and bad eating. I cant let myself go down that road.
Im already a curvy woman and in the process of losing weight. When I was home, I could control my food intake really well. But at work, when I get hungry I have to eat something…anything…right away otherwise I feel like Im going to pass out. And yes, I have passed out before…once about 5 - 6 years ago. Ever since then, I keep candy or a tiny pack of cookies with me all the time. When I get that light headed feeling, I pop something in my mouth right away.
I need ideas on what to keep with me in my bag or purse that is healthy but energizing.
OMG im so like you!!!, at home im so disciplined, i dont even touch the biscuit tin, at work i actually walk to the shop and get myself chocolate and whole packs of biscuits.
i have tried the healthy option also, but guess what, i leave the fruit in the bag, and dive for the chocolate.
I have noticed though, the busier i am at work, the less i eat, boredom is the answer.
I purchased a box of those Special K bars to keep me going after lunch. I also drink a lot of water throughout at the day while at work (or at least try to). It keeps me full. I just purchased a box of those 'Curves' granola bars, low on calories but filling enough to keep me going.
I'm a snacker too. I am positive that I would lose these 10 pounds if I simply stopped snacking.
I also have a bag of Teddy Bear cookies in my desk. :( I also have some crackers ... but I have not opened the box of crackers yet. Shukar hai!
If you have a fridge at work (which I'm sure you do) --> Plain yogurt - the one with active probiotic cultures. Eat it plain or throw some nuts or fresh fruit in it.
Dark chocolate (it has to be the dark one though).
