The 9-year-old, Razia Masih, was beaten and raped on April 26 in the town of Faisalabad, near Lahore, ending up in the hospital with multiple burns, a lacerated left eye, a broken right arm and rope marks around her hands and mouth.
"She was working as a maid in a Muslim house," said Shabazz Bhatti, chairman of the All Pakistan Minorities Alliance.
"When the Iraq war happened, it was on the TV," he said. "The family [that she worked for] would call her into the TV room and start torturing her. Her skin was burned by the irons, her body wounded by a cricket bat and a medical report showed 15 wounds on her body. She was told by them, 'You are Christian and infidel, and we will take revenge on you for the killings of Iraqi children.'
WOW.. umm normally such incidents are reported the first in every paper around the world if its anti-pak.. and this one for sum reason only showed up in washington times.. bt then.. they had anohter story about how the minorty in pakistan are being harrased..

truely sad but I doubt it its linked to relegious hatred, its more to with poor or powerless people either they are Muslims or others victimised by others in society.
any working maid muslim or non muslim could face such things. so its just defaming Pakistan chain letter.
justice in general need to be improved its not limited to minorities. eg, mukhar mai, shazia etc cases are evidence this in humane crime is not limited to minorities. relegion is not root cause of this bu social un justice.
I know many of my friends from college and uni in Pak were christian, i doubt it very much they have been ever target of any racial discrimination.

cheebu: yes razia is muslim name but the other part of the name is Masih - that is often part of chiristian names n Pakistan.
