**QUETTA: National Party MPA Handery Masieh has been killed in a targeted attack outside his house in Quetta, Express News reported on Saturday.**Masieh was shot twice, reportedly in his neck and arm, according to Express News.
The Christian MPA had been shifted to FC Hospital for medical assistance where he passed away.
Some reports have suggested that the gunman was his own guard however, this is yet to be confirmed. The suspect has been arrested.
He was elected in the Balochistan Assembly on the reserved seat for minorities from NM-65 constituency.
His nephew has also been injured in the attack.
There was a two minute silence in the National Assembly for Masieh.
I remember that my fathers dispenser (who used to work in his clinic) did not tell my father that he was a Christian (for years) as he expected to be persecuted if he found out that he was a Christian. My father didn't treat him differently even after knowing that, situation has changed (for the worse) during the past decade.
