Christian community offers special prayers for quake victims
The Christian community of the twin cities offered special prayers Sunday for the victims of the destructive earthquake that killed more than 19,000 people and wounded over 42,000 mainly in Azad Kashmir. Leading Sunday’s congregations, priests prayed to God to have mercy on those still trapped under the rubble, and for an early recovery of the injured. Special prayers were offered for the eternal peace of the departed souls and grant of courage to their families. The worshippers were urged to contribute maximum to the relief fund set up by the government for the affectees and offer all possible assistance to their brethren in this hour of need.
