Went for a running event today. There were four middle ages men who called out to a lady to take their picture. They said - we are Christian Capitalists.
What exactly is a Christian Capitalist? One who doesn’t believe in minimum wage, healthcare for all, Medicaid, improving publiic education, raising Soc Security limits, worker rights?

confuses me too, and john stewart gets on that point off and on.
It seems like the bible belt, or the born again evangelical types are against a lot of things that Christ would have been for, and for a lot of things he would have been against.
it is an interesting mindset, anti climate change, anti gun control, anti minimum wage, anti healthcare, etc etc… I think religion is just an excuse and a cover, kinda like religion is for the right winger tire burners in pakistan and fatwa factories in saudi arabia.

a whole different discussion but the right wing nut jobs in any group have more in common with the right wont nut jobs of the groups they hate than the other ppl of their own group.
Its a certain xenophobic, prejudiced, bigoted, self righteous, purposefully ignorant view and approach…nationality, race, religion are just covers and rallying basis to get more support and to delude themselves into thinking that they are more than what they really are…which is …xenophobic, prejudiced, bigoted, self righteous, purposefully ignorant people

No problems re different discussion. I don’t get the derailment part. Discusssions can and preferably lead to tangential topics.
Right wing of one country despising their counterparts elsewhere is a great way to summarize their ideology. That the ideology of all Right Wingers is the same is really ironic.
To extend the Right wing argument further- they want to deny rights to minorities when they are in majority. But when they immigrate to a different country, they are first in line to fight for equality.
