sometimes it’s even strangers are sent for Hajj on behalf of some deceased person…it’s called “Hajj-e-Badal”…
remember the story in the movie Coolie, an Amitabh starer, where Amitabh was supposed to do Hajj-e-Badal for his ailing parent, he was supposed to go to Saudi Arabia for Hajj but since he is NOT a Muslim so he could NOT go…in the movie, he makes an excuse and sends someone else.
