yes izaar is a paijaama [jaama for the paaye] and as Nehru Ji’s izaar shows…it’s tight fitting below the knee and it’s quite a task to put it on, especially if your feet are wet.
in old days, women used to have cracked heels and whenever they tried to put it [izaar made from the delicate Kam-Khowaab material] on, the izaar would rip and would complain to their husbands who brought it from their military duty in Rangoon…women would overlook their rough cracked heels and blame the fabric…
