choosing the right colour

Re: choosing the right colour

You think u can do ur own makeup, and show the lady that’s how u want urs done? fromw at i know they use different makeup, like stage/theater stuff, not the stuff we use for everyday…that’s why brides mite look strange in person but end up looking great in the movie and professional pix.

I’d hate to not be able to choose exactly what I want, but u kno ur family knows wat u like best and wat wud look nice on you so dont fret :flower1:

Btw, i mite hav missed it but are u having the wedding in oz or pak?

Re: choosing the right colour

^ yeah i guess i could do that... or maybe just tell them (yell it out) that i dont want to look white.. i dont mind what they do.. just not make me look white..

ummz i shall be getting married in pak Inshallah... theres not much here in OZ.. it'd be fun in pak... i miss pak sooo much :(

Re: choosing the right colour

sadzz i think you should wear creamy white if you want to coz its your day!!! ive seen sum1 wearing that and it luked so gorgeous mashallah.....get some really nice jewelry with it oo im sure you will look firing :D

i was always like im not gonna wear maroon/red i want to wear something different and now that i am actually having my rukhsati im so into this new craze of red/maroon lenghas mixed with different colours(sounds yuck but looks beautiful) so ive decided that im gonna wear somehting like that, plus my hubby's sis said that reddy maroon would really suit my complexion...my cousing got married last year and she had a red one with purple/pink contrast on the lengha bit looked sooo nice!

im stressing about my make up too i hate the way they make u look so white like a ghost and you dont even look like yourself! i want to look like me when i look in the mirror not a white ghost!

i think im gonna take my own foundation and try and pressure the woman to use it! im gonna say my doctor said my skin is very very sensitive so i have to use this otherwise i will have a very very bad reaction!:D pray that works!

Re: choosing the right colour

I actually think red would look lovely on a complexion like yours. Not maroon tho. I think Lilac is also a nice option. Bronze can drain color from your face. Also remember that like with my clothes, the color near your face can be different.

Peach would also look nice on you.

Re: choosing the right colour

i understand your pain! im gonna be going about a month before my rukhsati so i wont have time to get clothes etc for my jahaiz…soooo…my cousins are doing that shopping for me bit gutted really coz i wanted to choose everything myself and design stuff! been phoning them and telling them what kind of stuff i want but obviously its not the same, they keep telling me you can do some but we need to do the bulk now!

Re: choosing the right colour

yeah Devoted.. u got same issues as me huh?! haha good.. i need someone whose going thru the same pain... i dunno ive never actually wanted to wear red.. i know its sad but ive always fancied something light.. i may even go for a pistachio green... dunno

sahar, hmm red.. i reckon im gonna look completely paindoo in red.. its just my complexion.. a friend of mine got married two years ago and shes a bit lighter than me.. well we have differen skin tones.. but still.. and i dunno i realllly didnt liek the red on her.. it could have been cus i didnt like the actual lengha.. too much gold on it.. but i just have that image in my head... plus every friend of mine has worn maroon/red.. hence the reason why i dont wanna wear it.. man im stubborn huh.... plus i think mister doesnt want me to either.. so yeah..

hmmm Devoted, i was gonna do that too.. lekin people are telling me that the foundation i take wont give the same affect.. if i dont wanna look like a ghost.. just tell them and emphasise on looknig as natural as u can get... i dunno hmm.. and yesh the whole beforehand shopping busienss... im sooo upset bout that.. its not fair.. i so want to choose the clothes i want... cus everytime my cousins do something.. they make the neckline sooo deep.. and i cant wear anything but boat necks due to some personal reasons...

wait.. lemem see if got a pic of what my complexion looks like...
