How much say so did you have in setting the dates for your shaadi? How much did your family vs. the grooms family?

But i will refuse to get married in cold weather if anyone suggests it!!!

We didn't get to much of a say either but fortunately both families wanted it in warm weather. For our family it was really hard choosing a date because we had to go off the hijra calender and it was important to our families that the dates we chose were good dates according to the calendar. My fiance and I wanted it in the begginning of the summer but there are soo many weddings this summer and so many few dates that we had to accommodate a few people on that as well. Luckily we got set ours for the end of July, since Ramzan is coming up, there is no way it was going to go into August. But yeah it definitely wasn't an easy task..

Masha'Allah me and my fiance got a say in everythin.. even in choosing the dates! My family and his have left us 2 it and advise us here n there.. My MIL even took me out to choose my own gold, lovely woman masha'Allah :)
