Choosing friends..

How do you choose your friends? is your friendship based on shared interests? same likes and dislikes? or other factors.

Please share your thoughts on what factors make you decide that a certain person can be your friend who you can trust.

Choosing friends..

Someone I can easily make conversation with from the beginning. Sometimes it's not that easy in getting to know people because people don't always open up or accept new friendships themselves. I usually become friends with someone who I see on more than occasion and we start talking.

For me friendship comes very naturally. But before that, being inclined towards someone is intentional.

When I start getting to know a person, a couple of factors play a huge role in my inclination towards people..ideas about any particular issue, the level of ease while talking to them, their sense of humour and their shoes/feet. Yes I'm crazy like that. :D

Friendship happens. Not chosen.

If we click.

Re: Choosing friends..

I try my best, not to judge a book by its cover and I'm glad as this practice helped me find some gems out there.

Re: Choosing friends..

If we click and have fun...a good time, good conversation and good food!

Re: Choosing friends..

Someone who is easy to talk to and who I have stuff in common with for ex. now that I have a daughter, I am more inclined to become friends with someone that has a kid(s).

Also someone who seems open to making new friends. Some girls I have come across in the past, eventhough I got along great with them and hoped we could become friends, they seemed too busy or not interested in making another new friend as they already had too many to begin with. If I can tell that someone likes me as well and is extending a hand to actually make an effort to meet up, I will obviously do the same.

Re: Choosing friends..

i will be friends with someone who has similar values and religious beliefs.

Re: Choosing friends..

Silences. None of them awkward.

Re: Choosing friends..

Nothing really. If you click with them you just click, though most of them let you down in the end.

Re: Choosing friends..

dont expect too much out of it, its a very materialistic world. dont expect financial help at all specially.

Try to have good people as friends, quality over quantity
