Muslims today feel that they are being singled out and perhaps discriminated against. Many things come up in the newscasts … most recently the ban on facebook. Yet, doesnt it kind of make sense…that those who so violently protest against “draw the Prophet day”…these are the people who come popping out of the woodwork for the world (read: CIA, FBI, Mossad) to see?

Those who vigorously encourage the banning of facebook are often those types who would wish “death to infidels” yeah?

Because…really folks. Freedom of speech is a right but is also (and even MORE so) … a responsibility. Those who are clods enough to defame, demean or otherwise discriminate are just that. Clods. Many/most of us realize this and just say"leave em to it, lets re-iterate our beleifs and how much we take offense at their actions which to US are blasphemous"…

But when clods are gven power to the point that a country shuts down a much-valued source of communications, dont you see that its not hurting the clods but yourselves because it gives the clods power?

Personally, I dont think its clods that are initiating these things. I think its governmental agencies trying to “stir things up” to get the fundamentalists (or extremests or whatever you want to call them) to come crawling out of the woodwork so that they can be monitored, watched and kept track of. Not a bad strategy for sure…

There are many Muslims with even what some may describe as liberal or moderate views who support the ban too. The whole issue should not turn into a moderate vs extremist issue. We can disagree or agree over issues such as whether a face cover is valid in islam but whe it comes to issues surroundig our Prophet all Muslims should have a united stance.

I have no ideawhat is so valuable about facebook. The same people who use it keep in touch with their friends on HI5, Orklut, Msn Messenger, Yahoo Messengwer, Google Chat , Bebo not to foret face to face, mobile phones and landline telephones.

I see your point on the agenda to monitor extremists. They have been doing that ever since humans started to become more dependent upon electronic forms of communication which are more easily tracked and recorded.
