Its strange that both Hyderabad Sindh and Hyderabad India are famous for Choori making.

Fore convenience Brits named it Hyderabad Deccan, Railway tickets still prints it as Hyderabad Deccan:)

i think Firozabad is known for chooRiyaaN and glass-work than Hyderabad. my uncle was posted there as Superintendent of Police and we still have a lemon set [a jug N 6 glasses] gifted by him with my bro’s name water-marked on each item.

I shuttled between Agra-kanpur umpteen times but never bought any glasswork from there:), next time will get something from there:k:

yes, Firozabad is on my way from New Delhi to Allahabad. i, sometimes, take Kalka Mail and i get a chance to see what the working conditions are like in those home-based industry. These factories are scattered alongside the tracks on either side…inside, it’s hot and filthy…workers get a meager amount for their work. sad!

Kalka mail starts too early in the morning, I could never catch it:), the other thing in Firozabad-Agra is that people come to tracks for early morning work and won’t even turn away even if train is passing:D
