Choices

I have been a long time supporter of Yunis Khan. But I honestly wonder if you want to play him in this series. He is a good player on foreign pitches for some reason. It seems he can handle some bounce, he certainly played well in Oz. But I wonder if we should play Shoaib Malik in India at 3. Shaoib Malik is brilliant on flat pitches and is a proven performer against India.
Also do you play another seamer (most likely Razzaq) or Arshad Khan. With Razzaq in this particular lineup, we are really, really deep in terms of batting ability. The batting goes right down to the bottom. I figure that both Sami and Rana, when they apply themselves, cans score runs. Without Razzaq the tail is a tad long. I certainly would play Razzaq ahead of Khalil who has never done anything to impress me. I think that Arshad Khan should only play if he can be a genuinely attacking/wicket taking spinner. I have never seen much of him so to make a judgment would likely be premature, but the Indians are good players of spin and this will not be an easy tour for him.

Re: Choices

I believe Younis Khan has not been given a consistent chance; Shoaib Malik has got a decent run under Coach Woolmer and Younis is mostly use as a player according to the situation, I think the tag will do good to him and I think in Test Matches he can be a reliable 1-down.

The fact that Malik is preferred (was) is coz he could bowl but not any more and that questions hiis ability just as a batsman, no doubt he has improved!

Rana, Sami, Danish and Arshad are an automatic pick for all the 3 test matches unless Arshad goes for like 200 runs and no wicket, which I doubt 100% because he has always been a containment bowler all his life and that has always won him wickets which will be the case in India as well, even they are good players of spin bowling, If anyone has seen arshad Khan he has a great loop with will always tempt players like Shewag and other to come down the crease and sure there will be some mis-hits.

Abdul Razzaq or Shahid Afridi or Asim Kamal this is a tough choice because Pakistan's batting. I honestly think Afridi is a viable choice but I do a 50/50 cause Kamal has so far proven solid No.6 many times. Razzaq should be given rest he needs to get back himself, he has become more of a slogger who can chip in with 3-6 overs, he needs to regain his oldself back and on that note Afridi is already High on from VB series and both bowling and batting has been good when measured in ODIs however he will come through as a good No.6 infact a great one for Pakistan and he almost bowl at Razzaqs pace and he can spin.
