I need ideas on cak fillings… Havta order for the girl’s party and I would have loved. Cheesecake but the person making em doesnt have too much exp making one ( the many ways dk effs up yet another fav part of ure life)
chocolate is always a winner with the kids. chocolate with vanilla buttercream cuts through the chocolatey-ness, if thats a problem!
if you want something lighter, vanilla or lemon cake with a whipped cream and raspberry filling is delicious.
but, oh! red velvet cake and cream cheese icing might be a good alternative to a cheesecake! and red velvet is deelicious! i would, however, ask for a tasting sample prior to confirming the order.
Sweetmoi... I'm getting one custom made but was lost on what to have made flavor wise... Taffelby is good but have u tried kagehuset? Now those r cakes!!!!!
Sgc.... I knew I could count on y for this... Buttercream... I've heard it and have probably tasted it unknowingly....But wouldn't know it. Vut is this?
BUT since the red comes from food colouring, you could ask for a white cake that is tinted pink instead. a local bakery here makes the most amazing pink velvet cake- its SO good! its a spice cake, basically, that they tint pink and serve with cream cheese icing. i bet you could find a recipe online to give to your baker to try out! I gave an order for exactly that sgc :d I asked her to somehow get the color close to hot pink ... She said she will try hehe.
But now I'm confused.... Have u ever had red velvet cake with fondant covering?
Ive only had it with the frosting of cream cheese on top...
should I get the cream cheese as the filling inside and only fondant as covering? Or no fondant... Which the Danes will be super happy boutbut not me as I don't know how the zebra look will come out on frosting :/
zebra look will be difficult with buttercream or cream cheese......fondant is a must for that......well not a must but very difficult to achieve without anyway.
I've had red velvet with fondant......mmmmmmm good.....but very sweet!
Muz... I gave the order for cream cheese filling and fondant covering... It's for decorational purposes neways... I don't know anyone, myself included, that has eaten an entire slice of cake with fondant on it... It almost always gets stripped and thrown aside.
Total waste but what can u do... Cakes look nunga without fondant :D
^ that's exactly how most cakes are done- they cover it all in a layer of icing before they put the fondant on too so the fondant sticks to the cake, so its all good. the zebra needs to be in fondant anyway so its all good! it'll still be delish!
