If chocolate has “chocolate liquor” in it, is it haram to eat that? What are the specifications on foods that have a small amount of liquor or wine in it?

General rule of thumb: When in doubt don't eat it.
Chocolate liquor is not Alchohol, so its ok to consume it – its perfectly Halaal. Coincidently, I had the same issues a few days, so I had to clear it up too.
“Chocolate Liquor is produced by grinding the cocoa bean nib (center) to a smooth, liquid state. The chocolate liquor can then be cooled and molded into blocks also known as unsweetened baking chocolate. The liquor and blocks contain roughly 53 percent cocoa butter.
National Confectioners Association & Chocolate Manufacturers Association”
I didn’t know about that. I will watch out for Chocolote Liqueurs. Thanks for the information gupguppy.
"1. Chocolate Liquor: A bitter cocoa paste (or mass) that makes chocolate chocolate. (It contains NO alcohol).
2. Chocolate Liqueurs: Alcohol mixed in a sugar syrup. The sugar naturally crystallizes around the alcohol in each piece. "
what about if it has whiskey in it? Thats haram isn't it? I mean I sometimes get confused on what the fine line is between halal and haram and I try to avoid it as much as possible. But today I went to Moonstruck Chocolates (heard they had good chocolates) and they told me a lot of their products are made with liquor. I mean chocolate liquor versus a small percentage of regular liquor. Whats the difference. Whats acceptable and whats not?
Alcohol liquor, no matter in what percentage or amount, is Haram. So, your Moonstruck Chocolates are haraam too. (Teiramissu always has alcohol, don't even touch it!)
Repeat: 'Chocolate Liquor' is a standard ingredient that is not related to Alcohol.

Oh my god.... if it has whiskey in it, than ofcourse its haraam.
Choclate liquor isn't choclate mixed with liquor. Liquor doesn't necessarily mean alcoholic drink.
Thanks for all the information guys...it helps a lot. :)
