You can use regular milk chocolate or dark chocolate.. heat the chocolate over a double-boiler and dip the strawberries in it..and let them dry on parchment paper.
Re: chocolate covered strawberries
an tht wont make the chocolate curdle?

Re: chocolate covered strawberries
I use chocolate chips (like the ones for cookies), heat them in the microwave for 20 seconds (longer if they are not room temp) stir stir really fast and then dip. Easy, no need for a boiler shoiler.
Make sure to wash your strawberries and gently pat dry with a paper towel, if the strawberries are wet it will create a mess and the chocolate will not stick.
After you are done dipping, store in the fridge for about 15mins. That's that.
Re: chocolate covered strawberries
You can use any chocolate as long as it doesn’t have caramel or other fillings. I love using Cadbury and Dove chocolate as well as Hersheys. :k:
Re: chocolate covered strawberries
Any milk or dark chocolate will do as long as its microwaved or heated in double boiler.
Make sure the strawberries are dry as Belle said.
Dip strawberries, let them sit on wax paper and refrigerate.

Thnx everyone
Re: chocolate covered strawberries
Should you refridgerate right after they're dipped in the chocolate or wait 10/15 mins?
Belle - How many packs would be say you would need of the chocolate chips? Two maybe? For about 15 - 20 strawberries?
Re: chocolate covered strawberries
Smilestar, I heat the chips as I go, I usually make about 5-7 strawberries for every 3/4 of a cup of chips I heat. The key is to have the chips at room temp, and stir really fast when you take them out of the microwave.
Re: chocolate covered strawberries
mmmm wow, I might try this! Thanks Belle!
Re: chocolate covered strawberries
Have you tried the chocolate hazelnut spread, Nutella? It’s to die for!!!
Try this idea: Take some strawberries, turn them upside down, and make slits in them. Then fill the opening up with a big spoonful of nutella. You can do this with whipped cream as well, but I like the combo of choclate n strawberries ![]()
