Okay--let me rephrase. I dont bite anyone's head off fi they do that. :) However, I do also give up my seat (sometimes) to a old or pregnant person, and I do hold the door for other women or men.
But u know..when the train is crowded and im tired and want a seat, i will make sure to go where there are alot fo men standing. Cz when someone gets up, men are likelier to let a woman sit down. :D
Don't hold breath on that one:
Here is a joke.
A man sitting in a bus saw few women entering the bus and closed his eyes, the conductor shook him up and said, "No sleeping on the bus!"
He said:
"I ain't sleeping Mr. I just couldn't stand the look of women standing!" :-)
Yes chivalry is thing of medieval especially today.
Women cannot have both ways as it is said earlier by Mmo3.
Actually it is still present here and there and interestingly now some people may think if a man is opening the door for a girl he knows, he is up to no good!!!
Now opening the door or giving up seat for stranger for out of social courtesy even for a same sex person is most likely not chivalry.
