I haven't seen any woman biting a man's head off cz he held a door for her or offered up a seat.
One of the lawyers I work with tells the story of the lady first-year associate who started off at the same time he did. She wanted to be treated like one the "guys", i.e. going to bars after work, sporting events. Any reminder that she was different than them, namely a woman, she resented and she brushed off "chivalrous acts".
