Chivalry in Chinese men

I personally fail to see Chivalry in Chinese men and by that what I mean is I never see any Chinese or Asian men courteous towards women. In fact I believe that they are full of themselves and they are well aware of them being smartness than rest of the world.

^hmmm…not in my experience…I have been around lots of Chinese, went to college with them..and even worked with them…they are very nice…

and all I ever see from them is they treat their women like queens!

Zobia, how many Chinese men have you observed to come to that conclusion? Even if you have observed 30, even then you cannot generalize because like kakabilli said there are so many of them around.

Are you also referring to desis as ‘asian men’?

In desis’ case I see a lot of men being coutreous towards desi women. And in return a lot of time they are called chichoray and get scolded :halo:

I can say exactly the same of many desi guys that I’ve come across.

You mean they treat women just as women treat men?

I’m sure they are still more courteous towards women than women are to men.

A better question would be why do you expect men to be chivalrous towards women and give them preferential treatment above and beyond common courtesy?

An even better question for you to ponder over would be “What have women done to deserve chivalry?”
First you come up with the answer to this and only then you can rightfully ask “Why men arent chivalrous?”

i am chinese and i open doors and sometimes windows for all women that don’t have moustaches. :snooty: women who complain about us are usually the hairy ones.
