Those are nice - pleated but skinny at the bottom for women. The pleated ones for men are ugly. :/

Khakis as we call them in NA look good on most men but the traditional cuts (boot cut, no pleats and the right fit of course). The cuts in trend now are not everyone's cup of tea.
TS, sorry I am late in responding, had to head back to London all of a sudden for my ammis surgery.
Don't have pics handy, but look up banana republic, j crew sites to see pinstripes or plaid chinos, didnt see any in houndstooth recently.
