There’s two Chinese dialects right? Cantonese and something else, can someone tell me what “Daniel” would look like in either of the two?

Daniel would look like a plate of double sauteed pork with scallions over brown rice.

Lot of Chinese Dialects in china … ( Peking , Hakka , Chiu Chau etc etc )
but most common are mandarin and Cantonese
and we hong Kong poeple Speak Cantonese ( and Its Also Common In Malaysia and Singapore ![]()

Its fun to listen to. The free int'l dish channel is playing a Chinese channel (I think - I still can't tell the diff between Chinese and Japanese).

Chinese dont have alphabats ... they have Characters which is more then 2000

Mandarin & Cantonese aren't 2 Dialects of Chinese...But they are 2 completely different Languages...Infact one Knowing Mandarin may not speak Cantonese at all...& Vice Versa...Cantonese is spoken in Southern provinces of China (Especially Those around Vietnam & Hongkong)...& many Vietnamese(North)speak clear Cantonese as compared to many Mandarin Speakers..
