Re: Chinese/Vietnamese dresses

Actually tailors which specially work on Viet dress r the only one who r experienced in this. I mean not any tailor can make it in a right way.. if you chose the wrong one it would look something else but viet dress hehehehe.

You can ask some viet people around.. make sure that is the right person otherwise you just waste your money on the dress which you r unsatisfied with.

Re: Chinese/Vietnamese dresses

So is this everyday wear in Vietnam or just party wear?

Re: Chinese/Vietnamese dresses

in vietnam people wear it to work and school. But the designs which i have posted r not for casual wearing i guess.. they r evening dresses.

Re: Chinese/Vietnamese dresses

ok i have one more question

r these pants shud always be of silk or it can be of any other fabric?

cuz i dont like silk pants:cb:

Re: Chinese/Vietnamese dresses

^ Really? I find the silk pants look so lush

10moonshome, can you post a picture of regular day wear? I am just curious to see. And how about the men, what do they wear

Re: Chinese/Vietnamese dresses

yeah they r lush but i dont feel comfortable in silk pants

i always feel like they r gonna snap from sumwhere:cb:

silk is too light i think thats y :cb:

Re: Chinese/Vietnamese dresses

it can be of any fabric but the principle to chose material for this dress is that the fabric must be soft, i mean it must be soft enough to fly when there is wind blowing through hehehe.

Re: Chinese/Vietnamese dresses

School uniform is white traditional dress.

Regular wear is often made simply from cloth which can be purchased everywhere in market. Without pattern, without embroidered work then it will be called regular wear.

I dont know why some people r fan of satin fabric. I feel satin makes our bodies flow polishing like a nilon packet.

Here are some regular dresses

More designs of Vietnamese dress

You can see more design from this video. It is cut from one of fashion shows - Miss Universe 2008 in Vietnam. The casual dresses look rather plain .

More funny thing is that some girls walk exactly like Rambo hehehehe.
