Chinese menu -- help

I wanna keep it plain and simple. Here’s the menu so far:

Chicken corn soup
Chicken chow mein
Beef stir-fry
Egg fried rice
and Trifle for dessert.

Any other ideas for appetizers? Need something quick and easy. What kind of salad would go with this? What else can I make? I’m not a seafood person, so I can’t even touch it. :bummer:

And…any other ideas for dessert besides trifle?

Re: Chinese menu -- help

I would make a cold chinese chicken salad and instead of the chicken chow replace it with vegetable chow mien. To keep with the chinese theme make fried egg rolls or spring rolls as appetizers.

How do you make chicken corn soup?

Re: Chinese menu – help

how about crab ragoons for appetizer along with the soup…
they come premade and are ready to bake in the oven and taste just like fresh ones.
I love them and can have a dozen at one sitting :yummy:

Khawa: She is not a seafood person....she will not touch it.

CB: I like the menu so far. But, i would add egg or spring rolls as an appetizer. I usually have two salans. A beef stirfry and chicken manchurian.
For dessert..if you want to keep it simple...i would go with icecream with fresh fruit.

Re: Chinese menu -- help

You know what I love

Fried Icecream.

Its so yummy esp Fresh ones.

Sometimes they pre-make them in the restuarants and i hate it

I'd like thandi thandi icecream coated in warm gooey caramel with coconut.
