What a gorgeous color! Sandleen's pink one's real cute too. I have some deep hot pink china shanghai which I want made in the same style. I just need someone to take it to Pak for me or then make a trip myself.

shanghai is better than silk for chinesses outfits becz fitted pants looks kinda weird in silk or u can make shirts in silk if u want and maybe matching trouser in some other stuff like shanghai .

I haven't purchased the material yet. I only picked it out. I'll definitely check out Shanghai material and then decide. I really like the texture of Chinese silk though.

:rotfl: HAHAHAHHA OMG…it cracked me up …!! HAHAHA :rotfl:

thanx..i take that as a compliment

anyways as long as mehnaz got the point n Devil had to draw that to make me look all bad :hoonh:

Depending on the print this design can look more oriental.

^^
Thanks Tikhi Jalebi. Yours and Devilicious sketches helped me find the real outfits!

I looooove this long coat style below. The pants can be altered so that the slit isn't as big...
Anyone have any new ideas on how to wear a dupatta w/ this type of a neck?

[thumb=H]25151_7081347.JPG[/thumb]

Ok I recently got this made in Lahore and this neckline is also inspired by a chinese dress.
Apologies for the horrible quality of the pics :o U can tell I'm not exactly a star when it comes to making pics (had to do it myself as nobody was home) ANyhow, it's a very simple white cotton short kameez and a straight white shalwaar with slits on the sides. I promise I'll get proper pics made, till then these should do :o

PS- I'm waering a blue chaadar with it but u can basically wear anything u want!

^ Shinoo that looks like a turtleneck :konfused:

Shinoo - you look awesome! model ki tarhan!

^Hahaha, yeah it is, sort of. I don’t know how to explain how I got to this design.
U know chinese dresses have a ‘high neck’ but there’s a split in the middle somewhere. Well I basically left out the split and so I guess it’s sort of a turtleneck

OK fine, it doesnt look chinese at all. I’ll open another thread with this suit. U can dooo sooo much white a simple white suit. U can wear all sorts of dupatte and chaadars with it and dress up or dress down with accesories.
WIll open a new thread :-p

 OOh come on PCG, these are terrible pics. Thanks though
I’ll post proper pics with different dupatte

^ dayum I need a white suit too. And I totally envy your figure.
What fabric is the dress? Is it textured or plain? What’s the shirt length? Can we see the pants too, and those proper pics you promised?

When you feel better that is :flower2:

I was in Chinatown on Saturday, and I bought a black dress with red flower designs on it (inspired by this thread) looks awesome with black pants. I have to get it altered though, it’s a little loose on the sides, but the length is purrrrfect.
