NEW DELHI: Indian officials are worried that China is involved in building what they say is an illegal railway station in the no-man’s land along the Munabao-Khokhrapar train link, a news report said on Tuesday.
A separate report said the Indian Air Force was planning to beef up its recently upgraded base near the China border with an additional squad of Russian-built Sukhoi warplanes.
‘In what could be a latest and one of the biggest threats to India, Pakistan has hired a Chinese company to build an illegal railway station on no-man’s land near the Indian border at Barmer,’ CNN-IBN news channel said.
It claimed that the station being built by a Chinese company formed one of the many moves by Beijing to unsettle New Delhi.
When the railway station was built in 2006 to coincide with the reopening of the Munabao-Khokhrapar line, it was against international laws, since it was built 150 metres inside the demarcated no-man’s land, the report claimed.
‘Now Pakistan is all set to make the structure permanent and in a double whammy for India, Islamabad has invited a Chinese company to construct the station and that too on the zero line,’ it said. ‘Two weeks ago engineers from the Chinese company carried out a survey of the area.’
India’s Border Security Force DIG in Barmer H.K. Gujjar indicated the move would be opposed. ‘We’ll first take up the matter in the flag meeting. If that doesn’t work then we’ll stop them, if need be there’ll be deployment and we’ll take up the matter in a higher level meeting.’
India’s junior defence minister M.M. Pallam Raju was quoted as saying that New Delhi was prepared to counter Chinese advances in the neighbouring countries. ‘**There is no shortfall in preparedness from our side in this regard. **
**‘Chinese influence is not just in Pakistan, but they are trying to develop a port in Sri Lanka and in Myanmar as well. And we are well aware of all these developments. ** ‘And we are taking steps that this Chinese influence does not pose a threat to our nation,’ Mr Raju said.
Meanwhile, a separate report said that after stationing the Sukhoi Su-30MIK war jets in Tezpur in Assam, the Indian Air Force will post another squadron of its frontline jets at the Chabua air base under its military policy to boost security along the border with China in the northeast.
On June 15, four Su-30MKIs will land in Tezpur for a symbolic induction, making the airbase the third in the country to house the combat jets.
‘It will be a symbolic induction as of now. Currently it’s not clear which of the Sukhoi bases — Pune or Bareilly — the aircraft belong to,’ a senior IAF official was quoted as saying.

I like it ;) Islam reached China before it did India anyway, true the Han are harsh rulers for some but the west exagerates a lot of these rumours..... i've been to Ningxia and Jingxian as well as Henan province. The Uighyur Chinese are basically original turks and the Hui people are mainly chinese Muslims. I enjoyed my stay in China and was respected more than when i visited India.
In Indai it was nice but as soon as i said i was pakistani i got the frowns/evils even from so-called Muslims. In China the moment i said i was a Pakistani they practically hailed me now what i found annoying was that in India i actually tried to be as nice as possible and still i felt uneasy but in China i even told them i was a former soldier and even spoke in urdu and they did not mind. when i tried cantonese and pinyin/mandarin i got even more respect.
I sincerely hope China continues it's support for Pakistan as well as further ties between Pakistan and China.... many Pakistani's are ignorant of the Chinese who actually have reason to hate Muslims but they respect us more so then Indiansn and have done a lot to help our country. India should learn from it's more noble nieghbours.
Oh and if your wondering yes i am Uighyur too and do have relatives in China.
I second that. Pakistan should encourage China to open a HUGGGGEEE embassy in Azad Kashmir. Hehe.
Sure why not allow US to build bases .... allow Chinese to build bases .... let every power in world have a foot hold in Pakistan .... atleast have some self respect ... rather being stooges of other powers, Pakistan should have worked towards developing on its own. But then maybe you guys know your capability !!!!!

Too my Indian brethren. Pakistan or even India for that matter has little to fear of a mass invasion from China, in the last millenium China has been the country that has stood strong despite wars raving its frontiers and even its heartland. In over 1000 years they have "not moved". There is no record of the Chinese nation made up of the Han having ever "invaded" a nieghbouring state. Nor have the Chinese ever tried to pose thier imperial ambitions upon others as much as you would think. Even Tibet is China's by right and a lot of the so-called atrocities are rubbish or blatant exagerations.
A point worth noting is thier tolerance of "hostiles" people such as the Hui and Uighyurs, Tartars and even Mongols are respected by Chinese law and are protected and treated very well. Without going into too much history and polotics a point worth noting is that in Pubie the Chinese could have massacred a whole Mulsim Province for revenge but the province was spared. Bhai Chongxi was also Chinas greatest modern General and was himself a Muslim, Pakistan has very little to fear from its bigger Nieghbour and brother China.
As for India you too should try and be more friendly with China rather than choose the wrong sides. Technically you Indians have nothing to fear from China as they only treat others the way others treat them........ oh i forgot you oppose them in many ways, very strongly sometimes too.
Pakistan is nobody's stooge, It knows who its friends are...... the Chinese have never let us down since the han have been in power. Unlike Indai who posterity will record chose to make friends with the west despite the fact the western powers are the same who ravished you.
India should choose it's friends wisely, less the likes of Isreal/America let you down and believe me they will..... they even let thier own side down. China is a better friend and is closer too.

Not a bad Idea at all....... hey wait let me make a few phone calls to the Sun-Yi-On, they may help us get the Chinese government to listen. By peacefull means offcourse ;)
Also did you know the Shaoilin temple is in Henan province thats a Muslim area maybe the monks might help us too i respect monks who can fight when soldiers can't i've been there and want to go again.

Though there are security concerns when Pakistan is allowing other countries to set up bases within its own territory. History of the Indian sub continent is filled with stories of how the invaders have got foothold because of support from within the sub continent from groups who had nothing much then their own personal welfare in mind !!!!!
So in order to give India nightmares … you are ready to hand over sovereignty of your country to others !!! Boy no wonder superpopowers are able to make you do 180 degree turns …

Pakistan has the right to do whatever they want to ..... it's our terrority, our own country, our nation. We will do whatever we want to do....go worry about your country.
Talking about the Americans … Pakistan is still on payrolls of US, once that situation changes we will talk about Indo - US relations.

You need a lesson in history … Chinese help in 1971 … in the most critical period of its history Pakistan was let down !!! but hey you can still suck up to them !!!

Unfortunately India and Pakistan are in the same neighbourhood...... so any mess which has implications for India will worry India. Take teh case of Taliban ....Pakistan slept on it for along time .... in the end had to take action. Would have been better if they had acted earlier .... at least Pakistan would not have to use tanks and helicopter gunships within its own country !!!!!!

India is not worried because China is building this railway station. India is worried because this railway station is illegal **since its being built in **no-man's land. :p

Everything pak does worry India we have nukes it worries india,we buy weapons from another country it worries india, we test missiles it worries india, we build railway station it worries india, we help Sri Lanka it worries india…the list is endless…
As i said before who cares if it worries India? We will do whatever we want to do. Reality is you cant stop us, you can’t do nothing apart from begging to the rest of the world. Get over it
