My friends just came back from China, and they want to go back. They spent 10 days there backpacking. They say its really difficult to get around, but its very cheap there (compared to Japan) and there are tonnes of places to visit.
Hmmm… I just realised this is a travelogue from 1994. China’s probably changed a lot since then. Pays to do your research first doesn’t it?
