A Chinese manufacturer has set the record for the world's thinnest latex condom with one measuring 0.036 millimetres, Guinness World Records said on Thursday.

The AONI condom made by Guangzhou Daming United Rubber Products beats one created in Japan, it said.

"The previous record-holder was Okamoto. Their thinnest condom had a thickness of 0.038mm," Charles Wharton, records manager of Guinness World Records' Greater China division, told AFP at a press event.
The Guangzhou company makes 200 million condoms annually and they are mainly sold in mainland China, according to its general manager Victor Chan.
lol what are the chances of rupture? I guess India will soon start making its very own thin condom in no time with flavors like chicken biryani, qorma, kebab etc.

To do a proper study, there are multiple variables that need to be properly taken into account.
It is conceivable that 0 pct failure rate is still consistent with high population growth.
Seriously though Chinas population growth is lower than before. They just had a large population as a base.
Great. The supah-doopah thin condoms will easily rip and the inventor will then be known for his spike in the world population ...more so than his latex manipulation skills.

As Southie pointed out,their population has come down.
Decades ago they had no population control measures,population control laws and even condom was not that popular in China. :D
