religions of all sorts were pretty much wiped out/watered down as a state policy in “real” china. also, ban gradually enforced onto the so-called “autonomous” provinces/regions of china like tibet (tibetan buddhism), inner mongolia(again tibetan buddhism), hui (islam, hui arent han chinese but often the claim is made, hui are the majority muslims of china), xinjiang (again islam)…
