BTW for those who missed ..... Germany's lawmaker are preparing a law that allows circumcision on religious grounds (male only that is) .... that said there is still the Niqaab-Ban if u want to become "sarkari mulazim" ..... this has been contested and the case is with the supreme court ..... so still some way to go before equal treatment of all

I didn't. I responded to your comment regarding state interfering in the personal lives of people. Something the French and Germans have in common with the Chinese. I thought it was pretty simple considering I quoted your exact one line.

If only the Chinese were as civilized as the PakistanIs. We may prevent people using Muslim names, calling their place of worship a Mosque, preventing them from going to haj, using the azan, propagating in any way their religion, and wiping the kalama from their graves and “place of worship,” but we would never stoop so low as to forcing people to have to EAT! God forbid anyone should NOT eat n Pakistan!

The statement, posted on the Xinjiang government website, urged party leaders to bring “gifts” of food to local village leaders to ensure that they were eating during Ramadan.
Similar orders on curbing Ramadan activities were posted on other local government websites, with the educational bureau of Wensu county urging schools to ensure that students do not enter mosques during Ramadan.
