Yes here's what I do and it turns out great:

Marinate boneless chicken pieces in some vinegar, soya sauce, crushed garlic, black pepper, a beaten egg, cornflour, crushed chillies and salt to taste for a couple hours. Then fry these pieces in oil and remove from the oil when goldenish from the outside, and set aside in a plate. In the same oil, add 2 cups water, minced green chillies, soy sauce, a little salt and bring to a boil. Then add a red onion that has been cut into big chunks, green bell pepper that has been cut into chunks and the chicken pieces. Mix a few tablespoons of cornflour in some cold water until it dissolves and pour into your chicken mixture to thicken the gravy per required consistency. When consistency is reached, garnish with slit green chillies and green onions. Some people add red chilli sauce while cooking...you can do that if you want to be really spicy. I sometimes add Sambal Oelek.

I had Thai sweet chilli chicken with Singaporean noodles. AND it was awesome. Recommend it!
