Children of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

My memory is foggy. I think he had 4 kids with Khadija? Plus minus a boy that didn’t survive? Did he have kids with any of his other wives?

What became of all his kids?

Re: Children of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

4 daughter from khadija(ra) one son... son passed away.

2 daughter were I think DIL of abu-lahab who got divorced after conflict between mulims and makkahens started.
2 daughter were married to usman(ra) after one passed away.
Couple was so beautiful

Once prophet(pbuh) sent some one to send a messages to his daughter and usman(ra)
He came long after he was expected. He gave excuse.
Prophet(pbuh) cut his excuse in the middle and said... I send you to do some thing. not to marvel at their
beauty..... :D

fatima(ra) was married to ali(ra)
1 son towards the end or prophets age, he lived for 2 years.
Prophet(pbuh) use to carry him, and loved him. But he passes away at 2.
Prophet(phuh) cried bitterly :( :(

Re: Children of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

Some believe Rasool Allah saww had 4 daughters while some believe he had only one real daughter and that was Fatima Zahra Salamullah. Almost every historian agree that Ibrahim son of Rasool Allah passed away as a baby. I am personally with the opinion that he only had one real daughter and that was of course Fatima Zahra, princess of the ladies of paradise .

Re: Children of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

What about the rest? The ones married to Usman RA, how were they 'unreal' ??

Re: Children of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

Its pain full to see, how muslims throw away the greatest religious gift given to them.

According to Karen Armstong, only founder of religeion who is life is all known is prophet(saw).
Yet people try to turn him to imaginary figure of faith.

These people, in order to appreciate this fact , need to see discussion about

Jesus of faith VS Jesus of history.

We are blessed with clear record of all prophet(saw) life.

Re: Children of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

I.e. they were not Rasool Allah's biological daughters.

Re: Children of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

hm...so they were Khadija (R)'s daughters from her prior marriage? She had kids from her first husband right?

Re: Children of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

Khadija(ra) bore him 6 childern.

1-Qasim, Muhammad(saw) was actually called abu qasim, boy died beofe his second birth day.
2-Zaynab
3-Ruqqayah
4-Umm kalthum or perhaps kulsum
5-fatima
6-a son who also passed away very young.

Stop, making imaginariy figures .. images etc... real is just as beautiful

Re: Children of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

The Blessed Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had 3 sons and 4 daughters.

Sons

Qasim ibn Muhammad He was the eldest son before the proclamation of Prophethood and passed away in infancy.

Abd-Allah ibn Muhammad He was born during the period of Prophethood and was also called "Tayyab" and "Taahir." He also passed away in infancy.

Ibrahim ibn Muhammad from his wife Maria al-Qibtiyya who passed away in infancy.

*Daughters *

** Umm Kulthum bint Muhammad** (died 9 A.H./630 A.D.) : She was born to Khadijah. She married Utaibah bin Abi Lahab during the pre-Islamic era.Utaibah was told by his father to divorce her upon the revelation of the Qur'anic verse that reads "May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he himself perish" (Surah Al-Masad, Verse 1). She migrated to Medina. After the death of her sister Ruqaiyah who was married to Uthman binAffan, `Uthman married her.

** Ruqaiyah bint Muhammad ** (died 2 A.H.) : She was born to Khadijah. She was married to Utbah bin Abi Lahab in the pre-Islamic era, but when Islam emerged and the Qur'anic verse "May the hands of Abu Lahab perish! May he himself perish" (Surah Al-Masad, Verse 1) was revealed, Abu Lahab told his son to divorce her. She marriedUthman bin `Affan and migrated with him to Abyssinia then to Medina where she died.

** Zainab bint Muhammad** (died 8 A.H.) : The eldest of the Prophet's daughters. She was married to Abu Al-As bin Al-Rabi. She embraced Islam and migrated to Medina, but her husband refused to embrace Islam and stayed at Mecca. When her husband was taken in captivity in the Battle of Badr, the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked him to divorce her. When Abu Al-`As, however, embraced Islam, he was reunited with his wife.

** Fatimah bint Muhammad** (died 11 A.H.) : She was born to Khadijah. She was the youngest of the Prophet's daughters and the most beloved to him. She was one of the most wise and eloquent women of the Quraish. She was married to `Ali bin Abi Talib and she gave birth to Al-Hasan, Al-Husain, Umm Kulthum and Zainab. She died six months after the Prophet's death.

^ That the view of extremist shias

The Blessed Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had (REAL – his own flesh and blood) 4 daughters and 3 sons

The only logical reason for denying that the Prophet (saw) had any other ‘biological daughters’ is to give Hz. Ali exclusivity of being the son in law of the Prophet (saw). I see no other reason other than this.

You and your scholars should know that it is haraam for Muslims to give paternity to any other than the real father of the child.

Recall the *Hz. Zaid bin Haritha *(ra) used to be called Zaid bin Muhammad earlier and the Prophet (saw) had to change his (Zaid’s) name by the command of Allah (swt) ( refer to the blessed ayah of the blessed Quran quoted below) giving him back his paternal name.

Allah has not made for any man two hearts in his (one) body: nor has He made your wives whom ye divorce by Zihar your mothers: nor has He made your adopted sons your sons. Such is (only) your (manner of) speech by your mouths. But Allah tells (you) the Truth, and He shows the (right) Way. *[33:4]

Call them by (the names of) their fathers: that is juster in the sight of Allah. But if ye know not their father's (names, call them) your Brothers in faith, or your maulas. But there is no blame on you if ye make a mistake therein: (what counts is) the intention of your hearts: and Allah is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful. **[33:5]*

Do you have hadith to the affect that the Prophet (saw) did the same with his "adopted" daughters? Like restore the names of their "real" or should I use the term "supposed to be" fathers"? Any statements from 'infallible' Imams to the affect?

How would you like it if your own daughters (if Allah Almighty has blessed with one or more) or sisters or brothers were given paternity of someone else? Sure you won't be happy, would you?

Now put yourself in the Prophet (saw)'s place, haven't you earned his wrath by attributing fatherhood of his blessed daughters to another person? And by extension wrath of Allah (swt) too? Not to mention, that of Lady Fatimah (ra) too! You are deny her real siblings Allah Almighty has blessed her with.

Historically All the Prophet (saw)’s daughters (raa) carried the paternal name of Bint Muhammad.

And you guys have problem with that!

Isn't it amazing that historically we know the names of Prophet's wives (raa), sons (raa), uncles (the good and the bad), aunts, cousins, wet-nurse, servants, Companions, enemies, his mules, his camels, his swords, his battles but when it comes to his daughters – some due to sectarian preference tend to suffer from massive Amnesia!

You and your scholars should know that it is haraam for Muslims to give paternity to any other than the real father of the child.

Re: Children of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

The comments made by surdar asif are shiite opinions which exist but i do not regard those opinions as representative of shias generally with regard to the subject

like wise the two sites linked here are not representative of the sunni creed either. the first site is written by someone who claims he has left the Hanbalis to become 'athari' and the second site is written by someone who claimed The Messenger of Allah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam was commanding 'wrong acts' - Astagfirullah. They both keep company with people with Bughz for the AhulBayt Alaihis Salam especially against Fatima RadiAllahu Anha. So i don't know how sunni or muslim one can regard these people.

Its important that people know that if one comes across some of the material from these people and shares in their ideology, is pleased by it, then it could have repercussions for them

Re: Children of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

I am free from any one having bughz with ahl e bayt :razi:

Kindly show in a separate thread with proper quotes where they showed such bughz and i will openly admit my mistake.

But i think for the topic at hand they have given proper references and supports, you agree with their conclusion or not? Lets keep the discussion to topic at hand.

Re: Children of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

Thats good to hear

If i was you i’d get those links removed from your post.

I can’t publically repeat what they say !

I am happy just to have given a warning regarding them without proving the points

I did not read the content. However it is a common scenario where shia says something which is terrible and these pepple claiming to be sunnis reply to the shia on behalf of ahlus sunnah. Its a setup, a working together

I have no comments to make on the topic

Re: Children of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

Atleast give evidence for this, i quote from your first post.
and the second site is written by someone who claimed The Messenger of Allah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam was commanding 'wrong acts' - Astagfirullah
Re: Children of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

After much deliberation I have decided not to share the direct quote. You will have to take my word for it or believe as your heart intends

Re: Children of Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

i cant take your word for it, you openly claimed some thing but dont want to prove this. I would rather not be suspicious about these people unless i comes across some thing against islamic aqaidh.
@PyariCgudia and @Surdar_Asif
So what is the conclusion of this thread? do you now agree with us or not?
