It got me thinking....as of today, in America, more and more women are opting to not get married or if they do...not have many kids. kids are a burden...an expense. I read an article in msn which stated more than 50% of women remain unmarried/alone in the US. women all over the world are becoming more independent, more individualistic....and rely much less on men and collective thinking of the society to dictate their lives. This is the trend throughout the developed world. From Japan to Italy, from Germany to the US, the birth rates are slowing. Germany recently incentivized its citizens (women) to have children -- look it up on BBC's website.
Guess what happens when countries don't have enough people to run their economy? They import labor. Japan recently announced importing labor to address labor shortage. Guess where all this labor is coming from? Countries where people are having children like gang busters! Indian. Pakistan. Countries in Africa and other develop*ing* nations. Also, where ever these people go, they take their cuisine, music and other part of their culture with them.
