Child taking bath alone?

What age would you let your child take a bath on their own? Honestly I can’t even remember how old I was, but I do remembering my mom coming in to do my shampoo and then leaving…maybe I was around 7 years old.

Re: Child taking bath alone?

Around 8 years, depends on the child though!

Depends on child... my 4 yr old can rub soap on herself and remove it too... no shampoo though... and i help her wit her back... but by 6 i imagine she can shower alone...

My 6 yr old on the other hand.... i dont trust him.. he plays more and forgets to clean properly... so i soap him up and he washes it off...

But id say around 6-7?
You got a long time to go. :D

Lolz khawa...yeah i do have a long way, but it was just something I was thinking about during my many sleepless nights.

Re: Child taking bath alone?

yeah...around 6 or 7....but some may need help like khawa said, because they get side-tracked.......
shampooing is always a challenge for girls with long hair so some additional help me be required there....I know mine would come out without fully getting all the shampoo off the back of her head when she was little.....her hair was down to her lower back and thick so it was tough for her to manage when wet.

Re: Child taking bath alone?

my 6 year old daughter can rub soap on her body & can wash herself (not hair-washing though) BUT I cannot leave her all by herself because she starts playing with water. Even if she goes for a simple hand-washing I have to to tell her to stop & come out.
